Senior Finance Business Partner

Location: Hybrid, Richmond, Victoria, Australia; full-time Australian working rights required.

What you will do

• Partner with senior leaders across the Australian business, providing financial insight, challenging assumptions and shaping commercial and operational decisions.
• Own budgets, quarterly forecasts and long-range plans for the portfolio, and present financial outcomes to senior leadership.
• Oversee month-end performance reporting, variance analysis and forward-looking commentary.
• Lead financial models, scenario analysis and business cases for pricing, investments, new products and strategic projects through to recommendations.
• Work with product, technology, marketing and shared services leaders to assess value, revenue, costs, market trends, risks and opportunities.
• Improve planning, reporting and finance processes through AI and automation, while developing business partnering capability.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA or CA.
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering, ideally as a Finance Business Partner.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing commercial outcomes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Confidence challenging assumptions and explaining financial implications, trade-offs and recommendations.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting skills.
• Experience leading business cases and decision support from model development through to recommendation.
• Curiosity, a proactive approach and demonstrated use of AI tools to automate finance processes and generate faster, deeper insights.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining accuracy, judgment and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technology, subscription or marketplace business.
• Experience with Oracle EPM, NetSuite, Salesforce and advanced Excel.
