What you will do

• Develop and manage Mexico's compliance policies and processes.
• Perform ongoing compliance monitoring, reporting, risk assessments, periodic and trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
• Coordinate foreign regulatory filings and communications with Mexico's Financial Intelligence Unit and other relevant authorities.
• Conduct internal compliance policy, audit, and ad hoc reviews.
• Maintain monitoring registers and other records evidencing compliance efforts, and provide completion statistics.
• Recommend improvements to systems, controls, and processes; assist with training materials and compliance studies.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in risk, fraud, compliance, AML, or regulatory functions. Experience in legal or compliance roles within a regulated financial services business is preferred within this requirement.
• Professional certification in compliance risk management.
• Proven interest and/or experience in the fintech sector.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced global organization and maintain close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide useful and efficient counsel.
• Good understanding of risk assessments, periodic and trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
• Proficiency in compliance applications and programmes.
• Ability to carry out studies ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and provide necessary communication and coordination with the Financial Intelligence Unit.
• Proactive, diligent team-player approach.
• Native Spanish and fluent English.
