Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; onsite. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of War security clearance.

What you will do

• Analyze engineering drawings to validate content adequacy for the manufacturability and producibility of military components.
• Research, analyze, and prepare Technical Data Packages covering safety requirements, tooling, castings, forgings, U.S. Army Aerospace Design Standards, and component qualification testing under applicable Military Standards.
• Enter and cross-validate data across multiple databases with accuracy.
• Provide procurement assessments and responses verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering with five years of experience, or an M.S. with three years, or a Ph.D. with one year of experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War security clearance.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 and MIL-STD-3100 drawing requirements.

Nice to have

• Previous SAP system experience.
• Experience with U.S. Army Aviation or missile systems.
• Manufacturing experience to support understanding of manufacturability requirements.
• Experience using multiple databases to cross-validate information.
