What you will do

• Own end-to-end improvement of target dexterous manipulation capabilities from baseline performance to mastery.
• Design task suites and evaluation protocols that reflect research, science partner, and customer needs and generalize across deployments.
• Coordinate data collection, model training and fine-tuning, data-mixture and configuration sweeps, and large-scale evaluations.
• Run rigorous experiments across model variants, isolate variables, quantify statistical confidence, and diagnose failure modes from rollout data.
• Use post-training, data, task design, and experimentation to improve capabilities and collaborate with pretraining and post-training teams when model limitations require deeper changes.
• Communicate findings to research and partner-facing teams and work hands-on with robots and physical task setups when required.

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning and/or robot learning, such as a PhD in a relevant area.
• Comfort with large-scale data analysis, including slicing rollout logs, computing metrics, visualizing results, and investigating causes.
• Careful approach to evaluation, benchmarking, and failure analysis across changing task evaluations.
• Ability to iterate rapidly using real-world feedback loops and make capabilities work for real applications.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to research teams and partner-facing teams.
