Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, United States; on-site

Base salary: $100,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures protecting computer systems, networks, and information.
• Define system security requirements and design computer security architecture and detailed cybersecurity solutions.
• Partner with engineering teams on internal and customer-facing security and privacy initiatives, maintaining security data accessibility, quality, and reliability.
• Assess security posture, identify vulnerabilities, conduct security tests, and support operational security improvements.
• Handle security operations, risk assessments, incident responses, project maintenance, and reports on security findings and improvements.
• Report suspected or actual security and policy violations or breaches and follow information-asset protection procedures and industry best practices.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer.
• Experience building and maintaining security systems.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, and related security systems.
• Experience with network security, networking technologies, and system, security, and network monitoring tools.
• Thorough understanding of current security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Ability to communicate in writing and orally with technical and non-technical audiences in a business-friendly manner.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
