Niche - Contractor (UX Researcher)

Location: Fully remote from any market; 8-5 EST highly ideal, with some flexibility.

Assignment length: 6 months, with possibility of extension.

What you will do

• Work cross-functionally with product owners, product managers, experience designers, content designers, and other partners to identify and define research projects and objectives.
• Scope, plan, and conduct user research and testing projects end-to-end.
• Recommend appropriate research methods and advocate for suitable sample sizes.
• Program research studies in the necessary tools and conduct quality assurance.
• Analyze results, generate actionable insights, and share findings with partners and the broader organization.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of UX research modalities and methods as a generalist.
• At least 4–5 years of experience with remote, in-person, moderated, and unmoderated user research.
• Experience with usability testing, interviews, surveys, click tests, card sorts, tree testing, and related methods.
• Experience with the Maze testing platform is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience with Glassbox and/or Qualtrics.
• At least 3–4 years of experience in finance, insurance, or healthcare regulated industries.
• Experience with AI research.
• Strong active listening and storytelling skills.
• Ability to take initiative and own projects end-to-end.
• Ability to collaborate with teammates and partners and remain open to feedback.
