Senior Software Developer (AI)

Location: Tarragona, Spain; hybrid work model.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and validate AI-enabled enterprise applications for the automotive industry.
• Develop backend services with Java/Spring Boot and Python using microservices and RESTful or event-driven architectures.
• Build data access layers with Hibernate ORM and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server queries.
• Develop modern Angular frontends and integrate AI/ML services from AWS and third-party providers.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and maintain code quality and system reliability.
• Containerize and deploy applications with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP across the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong expertise in Java and/or Python.
• Proven experience delivering production-grade enterprise applications from design through deployment.
• Deep knowledge of Spring Framework, including Core, Boot, MVC, Data, and Security, and Hibernate ORM.
• Strong SQL and relational database design skills with PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• Experience with RESTful API design, microservices architectures, AWS or GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or Jenkins and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, debugging, profiling, and performance optimization.
• Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; advanced Git and collaborative development workflow skills.
• Collaborative communication skills, ability to mentor junior engineers, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and comfort working in Scrum or Kanban environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent Spanish and English, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI/ML services such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, or OpenAI APIs.
• Experience with Angular for full-stack development.
