Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid model with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of machine learning systems, focusing on deployment and monitoring.
• Refactor and productionize existing models and notebooks into clean, modular, testable code.
• Introduce and enforce coding, testing, and model versioning best practices.
• Set up and improve CI/CD workflows for machine learning systems.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to maintain clean interfaces and reliable data flows.
• Review code and guide less experienced team members as a technical reference.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production environments.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, with a focus on clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Proven experience taking models from notebooks to production.
• Solid understanding of the machine learning model development lifecycle.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented approach focused on production outcomes.
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments and bringing structure where needed.
• Quality-driven mindset with attention to maintainability and long-term scalability.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker containerization.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake.
