Financial Controller (Fintech)

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus; hybrid and remote options stated

What you will do

• Participate in monthly closing procedures, quarterly reporting, and consolidation reporting.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and conduct monthly financial analysis.
• Work with external auditors during the annual audit.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS statutory guidelines and internal financial policies and procedures.
• Support organizational financial accounting needs and collaborate with the finance team.
• Analyze budget-versus-actual variances, support FP&A planning, and assist with monthly financial reports.

Requirements

• ACCA or ACA qualification.
• At least 6 years of professional experience, preferably at a Big Four firm or as an in-house Assistant Financial Controller.
• Outstanding knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience creating financial statements and maintaining general ledgers.
• Good understanding of accounting software.
• Fluent English, written and spoken. English is used most of the time with geographically dispersed colleagues, clients, and strategic suppliers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
• Sense of ownership, problem-solving skills, teamwork, time-management skills, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
