Senior Software Engineer - Data Migration

Location: Billund, Denmark. Hybrid working with office collaboration averaging three days per week and the option to work from home up to two days per week.

What you will do

• Help product teams migrate from legacy technologies to the hirify.global Data Platform.
• Design reusable, scalable, and dependable data solutions for business areas with different levels of technical maturity.
• Solve complex data-engineering challenges and improve data quality, governance, ownership, and developer experience.
• Enable teams to use platform capabilities with greater autonomy and confidence.
• Act as a trusted technical specialist in platform architecture and Data Office practices.
• Use artificial intelligence to improve and accelerate migration work while mentoring engineers and collaborating with data, platform, product, and governance specialists.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Python and SQL, including designing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud data platform such as Databricks or Snowflake, and Apache Spark or PySpark for large-scale processing.
• Solid experience with AWS or Azure, including storage, access control, and deployment.
• Strong engineering practices, including version control with GitHub or Azure DevOps, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines that you have built or improved.
• Experience designing data models and handling schema changes, data quality, and error recovery.
• Experience mentoring engineers in data and software engineering practices.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
