Digital Business Product Owner

Location: Kosice, Slovakia. The position works in the Central European time zone and collaborates with Slovakia-based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US across several time zones.

Salary: €2,748–€3,600 gross per month. Base minimum pay: €32,976 annually.

What you will do

• Support prioritization and refinement of the Dealer Website product backlog, including defects, enhancements, and new features.
• Translate business priorities, user insights, and product objectives into features, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain backlog items and delivery documentation in Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with Engineering, UX/UI, Product Management, dealers, users, support teams, and other stakeholders on discovery, solution design, releases, and product improvements.
• Participate in backlog refinement, user acceptance testing, retrospectives, release readiness, user communications, training, and adoption activities.
• Monitor delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and adoption metrics, provide status updates, and support alignment across related products and teams.

Requirements

• Knowledge of business analysis tasks, techniques, and tools, with the ability to identify business needs and recommend stakeholder-value solutions.
• Knowledge of decision-making and critical-thinking processes, tools, and techniques, with the ability to analyze situations and reach informed decisions.
• Knowledge of software change request management and the ability to manage requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
• Knowledge of software product business operations, including install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
• Knowledge of software problem-management strategies, practices, and tools, with the ability to manage problems in installed software products.
• Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and communication skills, including the ability to translate business needs into product requirements and work with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of user acceptance testing activities, tasks, tools, and techniques, with the ability to design, implement, and evaluate end-user acceptance tests.

Nice to have

• Experience in an agile team in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or related role.
• Experience supporting digital product, operational, business analysis, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience contributing to product discovery and delivery activities within agile product teams.
• Experience gathering requirements, managing backlogs, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to UI prototyping applications such as Figma.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or Aha!
• Interest in emerging technologies, including generative AI applications.
• PSPO I, CSPO, or an equivalent Agile/Product Owner certification.
