Senior Research Fellow Acute Care Nursing

Location: Brisbane South (Nathan campus) and Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Full-time in-person work across both locations is required.

Salary: AUD 143,418–165,374 per annum plus 17% superannuation; total FTE package AUD 167,799–193,487 per annum.

What you will do

• Lead innovation, education, and research in Acute Care Nursing.
• Advance acute care nursing research, education, and evidence-based practice through clinical-academic collaboration.
• Attract external competitive research funding.
• Supervise research students and build and lead multidisciplinary research teams.
• Work across hirify.global Brisbane South and Princess Alexandra Hospital in person.

Requirements

• Doctoral qualification or equivalent professional experience in nursing or a relevant field.
• Active registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) as a registered nurse, maintained for the duration of the appointment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated and extensive commitment to higher education and nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to attract external competitive research funding, supervise research students, and build and lead multidisciplinary research teams in Acute Care Nursing.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Evidence of vaccination, or the ability to be vaccinated, against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B.
• Tuberculosis screening may be required to determine vaccination needs.
• Any serious disciplinary history must be disclosed.
