Onboard Finance Operations Specialist (Cruise Finance)

Location: Geneva, Switzerland; office-based role supporting the hirify.global fleet and requiring international travel when needed.

What you will do

• Support shipboard finance teams with financial procedures, policies, operational guidance, and timely resolution of financial issues.
• Monitor onboard finance processes, controls, compliance requirements, risks, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
• Prepare operational reports, analyses, management information, KPI monitoring, variance investigations, and finance data reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Revenue, Hotel Operations, IT, Procurement, shipboard teams, and shore-side stakeholders.
• Support vessel start-ups, dry docks, operational transitions, audits, system implementations, testing, change management, and special projects.
• Improve process efficiency, standardisation, automation, governance, documentation, training, and knowledge sharing across the fleet.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Revenue Control, Treasury, or operational finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to accurately analyse large volumes of operational and financial data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organisation, prioritisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, independent, and collaborative approach in a multicultural environment.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in cruise, hospitality, travel, luxury, or multinational environments.
• Exposure to shipboard operations or marine hospitality environments.
• Knowledge of onboard finance systems, payment solutions, and cash management processes.
