Electrical Design Engineer

What you will do

• Own the accuracy, quality, and electrical build intent of schematic reviews, electrical print reviews, EBOMs, and print releases for assigned projects.
• Lead reviews and completion of initial electrical drawing packages for customer submittal, ensuring compliance with NEC requirements and internal standards.
• Support Production by answering design questions and resolving issues during build and test phases.
• Manage multiple active projects while maintaining focus and minimizing task switching.
• Participate in technical handoffs from external engineering leads and clarify scope, assumptions, and development requirements.
• Assist with EBOM and print releases and assess long-lead materials and major electrical equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent field experience such as a Journeyman Electrician background.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical build, electrical systems, manufacturing support, or field-based electrical work.
• Solid knowledge of electrical theory and the ability to read, interpret, and review detailed schematics and electrical prints.
• Working knowledge of NEC requirements and the ability to apply them during build review and release activities.
• Ability to work efficiently in concentrated settings while handling several ongoing projects.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Project Management.
• A meticulous approach and strong dedication to accuracy, quality, and build integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience crafting, reviewing, and releasing electrical bills of materials.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or other PDF annotation software, Epicor or similar ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent field experience, including a Journeyman Electrician background.
