FP&A Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid work in Belgrade, Serbia, with regular business travel.

What you will do

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, translating strategy into business plans and funding requirements.
• Build and maintain financial models covering cash flow, scenarios, sensitivities, and investment analysis.
• Design management reporting and KPIs linking financial results to operational drivers across the technology business and project portfolio.
• Track budget versus actuals, explain variances, and drive corrective actions with budget owners.
• Set up project budgeting, cost control, cash-flow forecasting, plan-versus-actual analysis, and go/no-go analysis for new projects.
• Prepare reporting for leadership, the board, shareholders, and banks; support fundraising, tax, structuring, management accounting, and finance workflow automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial control, including end-to-end ownership of the planning cycle.
• Experience building planning and management reporting from scratch, ideally in a startup or scale-up.
• Hands-on expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI design.
• Strong three-statement financial modelling skills, including scenario, sensitivity, and investment analysis such as NPV, IRR, and payback.
• Solid accounting foundation with the ability to read and challenge actuals and connect management reporting with statutory reporting.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets and BI skills, with hands-on use of AI and automation to solve business problems.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to turn financial data into clear recommendations for non-finance audiences.
• High ownership and autonomy in a fast-changing environment.
• Fluent English and readiness for regular business travel.
