Accountant

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid model with 3 days of in-person collaboration at the Milan HQ. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Milan.

Salary: €38,000–€42,000 gross per year, plus variable compensation tied to team and individual objectives and an equity package.

hirify.global is building an AI platform for legal work used by legal professionals across Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Bulgaria.

What you will do

• Bring Italian accounting in-house from January, including a December dry run and transition coordination with external accountants.
• Own invoice registration, bank reconciliations, and pre-close checks to achieve monthly close within 10 business days.
• Set up and manage the Light AI-first accounting platform, validate data quality, and expand automation.
• Control invoicing by ensuring every deal is invoiced and every invoice is checked and recorded.
• Maintain audit-ready books and support accounting setup with local accountants across European entities.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a Big Four firm, startup, or scale-up.
• Direct experience contributing to monthly closes and reconciliations under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a habit of checking numbers proactively.
• Process-building and automation mindset, with curiosity about using software and AI to reduce manual work.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Milan for the hybrid model.
• Fluent English and Italian.
