Global Head of Security Operations Center (Cybersecurity)

Location: Katowice (Zabrska 19), with possible locations in Warsaw or Katowice, Poland.

Salary: 22,700–40,000 PLN per month.

What you will do

• Develop and implement the global SOC vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the bank’s cybersecurity objectives.
• Direct 24/7 SOC operations covering threat monitoring, detection, incident response, and escalation.
• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing global SOC team while fostering continuous learning and improvement.
• Oversee the selection, deployment, and optimization of security monitoring tools, SIEM solutions, and automation platforms.
• Coordinate responses to major security incidents and collaborate with IT, risk management, compliance, business units, local SOC teams, and executive stakeholders.
• Define SOC KPIs, report to executive leadership, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies, including FFIEC, GDPR, and SOX.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, including at least 5 years in SOC leadership roles. Experience in financial services or another highly regulated sector is required as the preferred background.
• Proven experience managing global teams and complex, cross-border, multi-regional SOC environments.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, threat intelligence, incident response, SIEM, and security automation.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
• Excellent communication, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
