Fullstack Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain frontend and backend components for large-scale corporate systems supporting calls, proposals, grants, audits, and funding management.
• Implement business logic, responsive user interfaces, RESTful APIs, web services, and database interactions.
• Apply security best practices for authentication, authorization, storage, logging, and monitoring.
• Perform unit and integration testing, debugging, production troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and application stability checks.
• Deploy and operate applications using cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Review code, support technical onboarding and mentoring, collaborate with QA, refine requirements, estimate work, and maintain technical documentation and code quality.

Requirements

• University degree corresponding to EQF Level 6, typically a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years of professional IT experience.
• Strong Java backend expertise with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST API development; experience with WebLogic, JEE, EJB, Apache Camel, and Drools or similar rule engines.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with knowledge of Angular, React, Vue, or Bootstrap.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, cloud application deployment, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven, GitLab, Bamboo, Jenkins, Nexus, or similar CI/CD and build tools.
• Experience designing and securing REST APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger, plus strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Experience with Jira, Git, Bitbucket, wiki-based collaboration tools, Agile, Scrum, JUnit, Mockito, SonarQube, SonarLint, HP Fortify, or similar code analysis tools.
• Knowledge of SOA and service bus architectures, plus strong mentoring, communication, and technical leadership skills.
• English or French proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of system analysis and project management.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as Amazon Q or Kiro.
