Head of Transactional Processing

What you will do

• Lead the global transactional finance function across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Manage the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll teams, including their respective controllers and global payroll manager.
• Develop and implement efficient workflows, standardized processes, KPIs, and performance improvement initiatives across transactional functions.
• Drive AP, AR, and payroll transformation projects, including purchase order and credit card alignment, OCR, automated billing, credit control, and global payroll alignment.
• Oversee financial controls, governance, discrepancy resolution, credit control, bad debt and write-offs, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Build team culture, mentor transactional processing professionals, and deliver consistent processes across the Group and acquisition entities in collaboration with IT, finance, commercial, and people teams.

Requirements

• Deep experience working in transactional finance teams in an industry environment.
• Experience leading and transforming transactional teams across multi-service-line organizations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with commercial teams.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, including Workday Finance.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proven experience managing teams and developing team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced knowledge of best practices in transactional processing.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-departmental projects.
• A continuous-improvement mindset focused on systems, processes, and ways of working.

Nice to have

• Experience in a US-listed environment and working knowledge of SOX controls.
