Chief Financial Officer (Fintech)

Location: Colombia; hybrid work with flexibility to work from one of the offices or remotely. Relocation support to the Colombia hub is available for the employee and family.

hirify.global, formerly Different Technologies, is launching financial operations in Colombia and building the local business toward becoming a licensed financial institution.

What you will do

• Lead the financial strategy for the Colombian business and align it with long-term objectives.
• Build the financial model, planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting infrastructure, and control environment from scratch.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and Colombia GAAP and maintain accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Lead the finance workstream of the SFC licensing process and oversee regulatory reporting.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, regulators, investors, and financial partners while supporting fundraising and investor relations.
• Oversee capital structure, treasury, liquidity, capital allocation, tax planning, financial risk management, unit economics, and development of the finance team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a financial leadership role within banking.
• Strong understanding of bank balance sheets, key regulatory ratios, securities portfolio accounting, loans, and hedge accounting principles.
• Expertise in FP&A and forecasting, including improving regional analysis of trends and future opportunities.
• Ability to build a bank’s P&L and balance sheet model with key ratios from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial accounting.
• Familiarity with corporate governance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to prioritize workloads against tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
