Senior Software Engineer (Java/React)

Location: Hybrid in Brno, Czech Republic. Applications are accepted from candidates based in the Czech Republic or candidates with sponsorship to live and work there.

What you will do

• Own backend services supporting frontend products, including building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining them.
• Write tests, add observability, and configure alerting to keep services reliable and maintainable.
• Build micro frontends, shared platform code, design-system components, and customer-facing features using TypeScript, React, and some Vue.
• Break down customer problems, design new and existing features, and collaborate with Product, Support, Technical Communication, and Cloud colleagues.
• Apply engineering best practices, explain technical concepts, and maintain a high level of software quality.
• Mentor teammates and share expertise across the engineering organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise-grade software, with a solid understanding of testing and quality assurance.
• Senior-level backend ownership, including building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining services long term.
• Hands-on experience with backend technologies, preferably Java.
• Strong frontend skills in TypeScript or JavaScript with React; Vue experience is also welcome.
• Experience building frameworks or libraries used by other teams, such as design systems, CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, authorization, or shared state between services.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with colleagues at every level.
• Experience working in an agile team.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.

Nice to have

• Experience with micro frontends.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, Pulsar, or RabbitMQ.
