Manager - Mergers & Acquisitions (Defense)

Location: Karlskoga, Stockholm or Linköping, Sweden; travel within Sweden and internationally as required.

What you will do

• Identify and assess M&A opportunities supporting Business Unit Ground Combat and hirify.global's global footprint in Anti-Tank Precision Fires.
• Develop market, company, competitive, and strategic analyses for decision-making.
• Lead transaction processes including valuation, due diligence, business case development, deal structuring, and negotiations.
• Coordinate input from business leadership, finance, legal, strategy, technology, and other functions.
• Prepare recommendations and decision material for senior management and contribute to integration planning and post-acquisition follow-up.
• Build relationships with acquisition targets, advisers, and external stakeholders while ensuring governance, legal compliance, and responsible business practices.

Requirements

• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a related field, with experience leading complex projects and engaging senior stakeholders.
• Experience in a similar role within a Tier-1 defense supplier, defense-related organization, or comparable international environment.
• Project management experience involving complex, multi-stakeholder and preferably international projects.
• Strong understanding of the defense sector.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to assess strategic and commercial opportunities across international markets and manage competing priorities with sound judgment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Relevant university degree in business, finance, engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
• Ability to pass security vetting under applicable security protection regulations; additional citizenship obligations may apply where security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience within the defense industry, land systems, or Anti-Tank Precision Fires.
• Familiarity with international industrial partnerships and complex regulatory environments.
