Physical AI Solutions Architect (AI)

Location: Shanghai, China; 30% travel required; Shift 1 (China).

What you will do

• Define end-to-end architectures spanning sensors, perception, localization, planning, control, and actuation for robotics, drones, medical, industrial, and quantum compute systems.
• Design Sense–Think–Act pipelines with strict latency and determinism constraints, including CPU, GPU, and FPGA hardware/software partitioning.
• Lead technical customer engagements, translate requirements into architecture proposals and roadmaps, and deliver presentations, executive briefings, system recommendations, and competitive positioning.
• Drive proof-of-concept development, validate architecture and performance, and collaborate with engineering teams to build demonstrations.
• Analyze Physical AI market trends and customer needs, define hardware, software, and middleware solution stacks, and develop reference architectures.
• Contribute to white papers, technical blogs, and training materials.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Physical AI, including robotics, drones, AI systems, or solutions architecture.
• BS or MS degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. PhD is preferred.
• Strong expertise in one or more domains involving robotics systems and AI/ML for robotics.
• Experience with ROS or ROS2, real-time control systems, deterministic processing, end-to-end robotics control-loop architecture, world modeling, point-cloud generation, motion planning, and a Physical AI SDK.
• Familiarity with sensor fusion, localization, motion planning, control loops, VLA models, and VLM models.

Nice to have

• PhD in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with FPGA platforms, including RTL and HLS.
