Software Engineer – Backend Java | IKEA Range Experience (REX)

Location: Malmö, Sweden; hybrid work with the majority of time expected in the workplace.

What you will do

• Create digital solutions that enable customers to configure spaces and home furnishing solutions.
• Develop and maintain backend capabilities for hirify.global range-experience products.
• Work with product data to support personalized customer experiences and seamless buying and selling journeys.
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues across teams in an agile and iterative environment.
• Maintain a high level of product delivery with a DevOps mindset.
• Provide third-line support and participate in on-call rotations when required by the assignment.

Requirements

• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with databases, SQL and/or NoSQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies, Azure or AWS.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with observability and monitoring, such as Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, share knowledge, communicate effectively, and deliver high-quality results on time.
