Senior Backend Engineer (Micromobility)

What you will do

• Build and design scalable, reliable backend services powering the core rider experience and micromobility data sharing solutions.
• Work with peers and product managers to define and deliver the product roadmap.
• Process large-scale data and run A/B tests to understand user behaviour and help define product features.
• Contribute to R&D-wide discussions on architecture, tools, products and technologies.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team with Mobile Engineers, Product Designers and Product professionals.

Requirements

• Experience building and designing scalable and reliable backend systems.
• Experience writing well-structured, testable, reliable, efficient and maintainable code.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Experience building or contributing to systems using microservices architecture.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Strong business sense with a clear focus on business value and user impact.
• Experience working in diverse and cross-functional teams toward a common goal.
• Previous Golang experience is not required; willingness and ability to learn new languages and technologies is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience with Machine Learning or ML-driven products.
