What you will do
- Lead an assigned part of the global Antibot Engineering organization and own people, delivery, and technical outcomes.
- Translate engineering strategy into team objectives, priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans.
- Prioritize retailer work by balancing customer impact, operational risk, technical dependencies, platform development, technical debt, and long-term capacity.
- Partner with business, product, delivery, operations, and other stakeholders to resolve priority conflicts and communicate trade-offs.
- Lead, coach, retain, and develop engineering managers, technical leads, and engineers across the distributed China team.
- Drive an Antibot R&D roadmap focused on capability, automation, scalability, maintainability, and resilience.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, web data acquisition, applied R&D, or a related technology field.
- 3+ years of people-management experience, including leadership of experienced engineers, technical leads, managers, or multiple teams.
- Accountability for engineering delivery and production services in a complex, high-change environment.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, automation, observability, incident management, and engineering quality practices.
- Strong organizational leadership, prioritization, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to lead across countries and cultures and influence teams outside the direct reporting line.
- Professional fluency in English.
Nice to have
- Experience with web scraping, reverse engineering, or large-scale data collection.
- Knowledge of antibot solutions, CDN, or WAF.
- Experience driving operating-model change, automation, platform adoption, or engineering transformation.
