Managing Consultant (Customs & International Trade)

Location: Hybrid, Sathorn, Bangkok, Thailand

What you will do

• Provide customs and international trade advisory services to global, regional, and local clients, covering import/export regulations, export controls, customs valuation, HS classification, FTA management, dispute resolution, disclosures, and AEO assessments.
• Analyze customs and trade data for risk assessments, duty optimization, compliance reviews, audits, and supply chain security initiatives.
• Research and interpret customs regulations, trade agreements, and government requirements, then prepare reports, technical advice, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Manage consulting engagements and operational support projects, including project management, coordination, reporting, and administrative duties.
• Develop client relationships, support business development and proposals, and enhance service offerings.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams while developing internal best practices, procedures, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 4–7 years of experience in a related field, including at least 3 years ideally in consulting.
• Advanced understanding of import/export regulations and practices.
• Experience or familiarity with trade compliance in Thailand.
• Ability to evaluate and articulate complex issues, with strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Effective project management, organizational, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Good judgment, integrity, curiosity, vision, confidence, a can-do attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Fluent English, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-focused environment and commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.

Nice to have

• Professional accreditation, such as a customs broker’s license.
• A second Asian language.
• Experience or familiarity with trade compliance in the ASEAN region or another ASEAN country.
