  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in high-power-density motor and/or actuator design.
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical component design, including force and torque margin determination, materials and motor selection, wear, electronics, motor control, and software/firmware interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with fluid, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and ability to learn new tools.
  • Demonstrated ability in requirements definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and hardware testing.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an applicable U.S. export license.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing and operating high-reliability, high-performance hardware.
  • Experience with high-power-density and vacuum-rated components.
  • Experience in a startup or agile development environment.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to communicate technical concepts across multidisciplinary teams.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work in a fast-paced, agile team developing a spacecraft from a clean-sheet design.
  • Full-time employees may receive stock options.
  • Medical, vision, and dental coverage are available.
  • Access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Equal opportunity employment based on merit, competence, and qualifications.

Hiring process
