Sr Cybersecurity Policy Specialist

What you will do

• Apply DoD assessment resources and policies to support DISA cybersecurity directives and strategies.
• Maintain cybersecurity policy content on DISA's SPO site and other platforms, including repositories for policy, governance, and reference materials.
• Develop standardized procedures for drafting and finalizing policy documents, and draft, revise, and finalize up to 10 manuals, directives, and CONOPS documents annually.
• Use DISA and DoD tools to produce compliance reports, monitor activities, identify anomalies and trends, and document lessons learned.
• Coordinate working groups, resolve stakeholder feedback and comment matrices, and track action items with relevant organizations.
• Prepare up to 20 cybersecurity and cyber defense policy presentations, briefs, and reports annually and participate in weekly governance, policy, and compliance meetings.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance that can be maintained are required.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an IT-related field is preferred.
• DoD 8570 IA Technical (IAT) Level III certification is required.
• At least eight years of overall experience in cybersecurity or a similar technical field, including at least three years specifically in cybersecurity policy development, are required.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and interpreting security policies, procedures, standards, CONOPS, and governance documents.
• Ability to prepare and present technical documentation, strategic briefings, and governance materials for senior-level DoD boards.
• Proficiency with knowledge management best practices and tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, or Wikis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement.
• Availability to work full-time on-site at the customer's Ft. Meade, MD location is required.
