Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (SOC)

Location: Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania; office work is encouraged with the possibility of up to two remote days per week.

Gross salary: €3,000–€6,000 per month, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Design, configure, and fine-tune security alerts across cloud platforms, firewalls, servers, and endpoints.
• Own and optimize host-based intrusion detection and cloud monitoring tools.
• Track threat intelligence, vulnerability feeds, and security news, and assess emerging threats against the existing security posture.
• Work with other teams to implement security fixes and configuration changes.
• Monitor and investigate alerts, distinguish genuine incidents from false positives, and escalate incidents to specialized teams.

Requirements

• SOC experience in threat intelligence or detection engineering.
• Strong querying skills with KQL, SQL, SPL, or Lucene, including writing complex queries without relying only on pre-built dashboards.
• Scripting experience with Python or Bash to automate triage tasks, interact with security APIs, and deploy custom detections.
• Experience writing detection rules and alerts for HIDS, SIEM, or cloud workload protection platforms.
• Understanding of cloud logging architecture, next-generation firewalls, and Linux.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise XDR/EDR.
• Analytical mindset and the ability to perform fast, accurate triage to reduce alert fatigue.
• Regularly consuming threat intelligence and turning it into defensive action.
