Senior Software Engineer, Box Objects (Java)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work with attendance at the assigned office at least 3 days per week

What you will do

• Build and operate authorization services, APIs, policy models, and access-control primitives used by product teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management to refine requirements and break complex projects into deliverable units.
• Work with engineers, cross-functional teams, and partner organizations.
• Attend stand-ups, maintain daily sprint statuses in the issue-tracking tool, and participate in weekly team, project, and manager meetings.
• Respond to technical and behavioral feedback and contribute to hirify.global culture and internal representation of hirify.global Poland.
• Participate in the team’s production on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience building and operating high-scale, business-critical production services.
• Interest in security topics, including authentication, identity, and industry best practices.
• Ability to assess, communicate, and complete project milestones with managers and team members in a time-sensitive manner.
• Proficient spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Scala, PHP, Python, JavaScript, or another modern software development language.
• Practical experience with GCP and Kubernetes.
