KYC Analyst Intern (FinTech)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid with three days per week in-office on Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional chosen day, with the option to request extra remote time.

Salary: €950 monthly internship allowance, described as net gross.

What you will do

• Support consumers primarily by email through verification, activation, and account access, requesting missing information when needed.
• Review identity documents against internal standards and learn to verify country-specific document authenticity.
• Manage a daily case queue while meeting productivity, quality, and SLA targets.
• Identify inconsistencies and potential red flags, escalating high-risk cases to the FinCrime team.
• Learn to triage PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening alerts, support periodic reviews, and develop an understanding of the regulatory framework for digital payments.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset, with an interest in reviewing documents and ensuring accuracy.
• Clear and patient communication skills focused on delivering a smooth consumer experience.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
• Organized, proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions.
• Comfortable using digital tools and learning new software quickly.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Italian.
