TL;DR
Software Enabling and Optimization Engineer (AI): Developing, validating, and optimizing software components and AI applications for Intel Open Edge platforms in robotics and edge computing with an accent on Linux integration, AI pipelines, and Intel CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. Focus on deploying and debugging Open Edge components, troubleshooting real-time robotics workloads, analyzing benchmarks, and supporting customers across the APJ region.
Location: On-site in Seoul, South Korea

What you will do
- Deploy, validate, debug, and optimize Open Edge Platform software components on Intel Architecture systems.
- Design and develop AI applications for physical AI, generative AI, visual analytics, robotics, and edge computing.
- Provide edge customers with sample code, demonstrations, technical documentation, and installation guidance.
- Troubleshoot software installation issues in Linux environments and optimize AI pipelines across CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.
- Support customers across the APJ region and provide technical guidance for reliable, high-performance solutions.
- Analyze AI benchmark reports and address real-time processing requirements for robotics and physical AI applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD in computer science with no prior professional experience.
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js, JavaScript, and shell scripting.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience in Linux environments.
- Strong understanding of AI tools and domains, including OpenCV, GStreamer, ROS programming, and physical AI applications.
- Experience with version control systems and open-source platforms such as Git and GitHub.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Intel software components such as OpenVINO and DL Streamer.
- Knowledge of AI benchmarking and the ability to interpret benchmark reports for competitive analysis.
- Understanding of real-time protocols such as RTSP, TCC, and TSN for robotics applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-team work.
