TL;DR

Statutory Audit Analyst (IFRS/US GAAP): Preparing statutory financial statements and coordinating end-to-end audit engagements with an accent on regulatory compliance, internal controls, and financial analysis. Focus on managing external auditor coordination, resolving audit issues, strengthening reporting processes, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Location: Ayala, Makati City, Philippines; based at 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines. Hybrid work model with remote work from home several days a week.

What you will do

Prepare and review statutory financial statements under IFRS, US GAAP, or applicable local standards.
Coordinate statutory audit engagements from planning and execution through closure of audit issues.
Liaise with external auditors, controlling teams, service providers, PWC, SG Tax, and GBS Manila.
Assess internal controls, identify risks, recommend improvements, and support financial reporting process enhancements.
Analyze financial data, identify trends, monitor external audit testing, and maintain action plans.
Prepare audit reports and present findings to management and stakeholders while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in external or statutory audit.
Strong technical expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, and statutory compliance.
Experience managing audit engagements and preparing statutory financial statements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Skills in auditing, financial analysis, internal controls assessment, risk identification and mitigation, report writing, presentation, Excel, data analysis, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
Exposure to Big 4 audit firms.
Proficiency in financial reporting tools such as SAP.
