What you will do

• Manage technically and logistically complex optics and photonics product-development programs, delivering them on time, to specification, and within planned cost.
• Create and manage project timelines and budgets, reporting performance against both.
• Coordinate engineering, supply chain, and operations activities across a matrix organization.
• Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned projects and present project performance to leadership and customer stakeholders.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks while applying technical knowledge to keep investigations and development aligned with project goals.
• Lead project teams through the relevant phase-gate reviews from initiation through production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required. A BS in Engineering, Business, or Science is a plus.
• 5+ years of project or program coordination experience, ideally in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with MS Project, MS PowerPoint, configuration management systems, and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage diverse personnel assigned to a program in a matrix organization.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and solve problems hands-on when appropriate.

Nice to have

• Optics or photonics experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; uncertified candidates are expected to commit to pursuing certification.
