TL;DR

AI Model Optimization Engineer (AI/Intel Hardware): Enabling, validating, benchmarking, and optimizing AI models across Intel hardware platforms with an accent on performance analysis, framework integration, and debugging. Focus on profiling models, solving cross-layer software and hardware issues, and developing tests that ensure accuracy, functionality, and performance.

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

What you will do

Enable, validate, benchmark, and optimize AI models on hirify.global hardware platforms.
Analyze model performance and identify optimization opportunities.
Debug issues across AI frameworks, software stacks, and hardware platforms.
Develop and execute tests covering model functionality, accuracy, and performance.
Collaborate with software, hardware, compiler, architecture, and product teams to solve technical challenges.
Contribute code, bug fixes, documentation, and test coverage to internal and open-source projects, including use of AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Artificial hirify.globalligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical discipline with 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI frameworks, algorithms, and programming; or a Master's degree in the same fields with 2+ years of experience.
Programming experience in Python and/or C++.
Experience with machine learning or deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Experience with performance analysis, profiling, and optimization.
Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
Experience with Git-based software development workflows.
Curiosity, learning agility, structured problem solving, ownership, adaptability, clear communication, and effective collaboration across geographically distributed teams.

Nice to have

Experience with Generative AI models, including LLM, VLM, or VLA models, or with OpenVINO.
Understanding of parallel programming, preferably with SYCL or OpenCL experience.
Previous publications or contributions to AI research.
Familiarity with OpenVINO or other AI inference frameworks.
Experience contributing to open-source software projects.
