Machine Learning Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance data science solutions using software engineering best practices.
• Convert data science prototypes and proof-of-concepts into production-quality machine learning solutions.
• Implement machine learning systems at scale in on-premises and cloud-based environments.
• Design production architectures, optimize performance, and ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Develop methods and tools, contribute to data science best practices, and support knowledge exchange across NIQ.
• Present machine learning engineering and data science expertise at conferences and workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree reflecting computer science, engineering, statistics, or mathematics.
• Typically 2+ years of professional experience.
• Strong experience with production-level code quality metrics and collaboration with software and testing engineers.
• Expert-level Python skills and experience with the relevant statistical ecosystem.
• Strong statistical skills in at least one area: survey statistics, econometric modeling, observational causal inference, or experimental design.
• Experience working with Docker and communication skills in an English-speaking business environment.
