Senior Manager, Collections and Cash Applications

What you will do

• Lead and mentor the collections and cash applications team while fostering continuous improvement.
• Develop strategic initiatives and best practices to optimize and standardize collections and cash application processes across acquired entities.
• Coordinate with finance, IT, and cross-functional teams on the integration, upgrading, and enhancement of financial systems and processes.
• Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Identify credit and collections risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers, resolve disputes, and improve communication during the collections process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in collections and cash applications, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in the automotive or technology sector is preferred.
• Proven experience driving process improvements and managing change in a complex, transformational environment.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, accounting principles, and cash management practices.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.

Nice to have

• MBA or a relevant professional certification such as CPA or CMA.
