Senior Cybersecurity Fraud Analyst

Location: Remote; listed locations are Warsaw, Poland, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The final in-person interview and identity verification step will be conducted in the candidate's country of residence.

What you will do

• Monitor, identify, and analyze events from financial transactions, web traffic, and other data sources to detect and respond to fraudulent activity.
• Investigate suspected fraud by analyzing behavioral patterns, anomalies, and risk factors to determine appropriate actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Customer Support, and machine learning teams to improve fraud detection and prevention strategies.
• Help build and align fraud detection automation, dashboards, and reports.
• Audit and refine fraud detection measures against industry standards and best practices.
• Track emerging fraud trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in fraud detection, financial data analysis, risk management, or trust and safety.
• Proficiency in SQL and ideally Python for data analysis and visualization.
• In-depth understanding of fraud detection methodologies and the fraud landscape.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in English, including effective cross-team work.
• Familiarity with analyzing web-based and API abuse.
• Ability to read and understand every line of code produced with coding agents; code is reviewed by people and machines.

• Hands-on experience with web security and secure configuration practices.
• Interest in current industry trends and fraud prevention technologies.
• Familiarity with modern fraud machine learning practices.
• Valid CFE, CFS, CFF, or CISA certification.
