Senior Android Developer (Remote)

hirify.global is a fintech product company building financial tools for business owners across Europe, including company accounts, banking transactions, cards, and AI-enabled accounting.

What you will do

• Design and build Android features for multi-account cash flow management, banking transactions and payments, card issuance and control, and AI-powered accounting automation.
• Build responsive user interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
• Own code quality, performance, stability, automated testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Backend, QA, Design, and Product on end-to-end solutions.
• Drive technical decisions, challenge assumptions, and identify product and engineering improvements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and mobile engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Android development and a proven record of shipping products.
• Strong Kotlin knowledge; Java knowledge is a plus.
• Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID, and Clean Architecture.
• Production experience with presentation patterns including MVI, MVVM, and MVP, with the ability to select the appropriate pattern.
• Hands-on experience with RxJava, Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, Dagger 2, Hilt or Koin, Retrofit, Cicerone or Jetpack Navigation Component, and Jetpack Compose.
• Practical experience with Firebase, including FCM, Analytics, and Crashlytics.
• Experience with feature-module architecture in production.
• Confidence with Git/GitLab, including setting up and maintaining GitLab CI/CD.
• Clear, concise communication in English across technical and non-technical audiences, plus a product-focused and pragmatic approach.

Nice to have

• Fintech or financial product experience.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
• Experience profiling and optimizing UI performance, including overdraw, Jetpack Compose recomposition, and smooth 60/120fps rendering.
• Experience with Android Profiler, Perfetto, Baseline Profiles, or similar tools.
• Published Google Play apps and an active GitHub profile with shareable code.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM tools, AI-powered IDE tools, agent environments, prompts, skills, behavioral rules, and workflow integration.
• Understanding of model capabilities and limitations, context-window management, and evaluation of AI-generated output using tests, linters, and critical review.
• Awareness of AI security risks including prompt injection, data leakage, and safe handling of untrusted inputs in agentic workflows.
