Senior Java Developer (Shopify)

Location: Full remote; mandatory location: Portugal

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, run, maintain, and troubleshoot Shopify integrations in production.
• Design and maintain GraphQL APIs for complex production-level systems.
• Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies.
• Use AWS services, including DynamoDB and secrets management solutions, to build robust cloud-based solutions.
• Implement observability with OpenTelemetry, including monitoring and distributed tracing.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a Java Developer, with solid backend development knowledge and experience with production-level systems.
• Hands-on production experience running, maintaining, and troubleshooting Shopify integrations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, including scalable backend services and APIs.
• Solid hands-on experience with GraphQL, including designing, developing, and maintaining GraphQL APIs.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, ideally including DynamoDB and secrets management solutions.
• Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies in asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry and observability practices, including monitoring and tracing distributed applications.
• Fluency in English.
• Mandatory location in Portugal.
