Lead Software Engineer, Fullstack (Python/Go)

Location: Onsite in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

What you will do

• Design, build, deliver, and operate software systems as an autonomous contributor.
• Apply suitable architectural patterns, code design, and infrastructure options to create secure, reliable, maintainable, extensible, and well-tested systems.
• Monitor systems after deployment and identify opportunities to improve team processes.
• Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout projects, from product design through rollout.
• Mentor junior engineers, introduce process improvements, and influence the team roadmap.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Professional experience with Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience developing extensible code for complex projects and selecting abstractions that follow SOLID principles.
• Understanding of complex data structures and algorithms, including when to use them.
• Ability to work across web frontend and backend development with Python and Go.
• Experience with defect tracking tools and version control.
• Good understanding of clean architecture principles and strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with web frameworks such as React.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and promoting engineering excellence.
