Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Salary: Up to 40,000 AED per month

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Build and optimize distributed systems with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.
• Own projects from architecture and development through deployment.
• Develop secure REST APIs and contribute to technical design and architectural decisions.
• Use AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD to support cloud-native applications.
• Improve system performance, monitoring, and observability while mentoring engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Java software engineering and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and REST APIs.
• Experience building and maintaining production microservices.
• Solid understanding of system design, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Experience with SQL databases and Redis.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of application security and observability.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Cassandra.
• Experience with Terraform, gRPC, or Protocol Buffers.
• JVM performance tuning or reactive Java frameworks experience.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience in regulated or high-availability environments.
