Commercial Project Manager (Energy)

Location: Hybrid remote/office in Bucharest, Romania

What you will do

• Manage project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, asset management, and monthly reporting.
• Monitor project costs, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to protect profitability.
• Ensure compliance with hirify.global financial guidelines, IFRS, and local accounting standards.
• Provide commercial and financial planning support during initial costing and bid preparation for the GCO scope.
• Develop commercial project plans covering cash flow, tax concepts, and currency hedging strategies, and collaborate with bid management and sales teams.
• Analyze customer and supplier contracts, manage commercial risks, negotiate claims, change orders, and amendments, and maintain the risk and opportunity register.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial project management, project controlling, or cost estimation.
• Experience in the energy, engineering, or construction sectors is preferred.
• Proven experience working with international stakeholders and projects, especially within European markets.
• Financial and controlling expertise, commercial and contract management, stakeholder management and collaboration, and problem-solving and analytical thinking.
