Principal Modernisation Strategist (Legacy Modernisation)

Location: Singapore, Singapore; hybrid. Applicants currently residing in Singapore will be prioritised.

What you will do

• Develop and lead large-scale transformation and legacy modernisation strategies focused on business outcomes.
• Identify modernisation opportunities, shape client engagements, support pre-sales and lead generation, and create proposals.
• Advise C-level executives and other stakeholders as a trusted technology partner.
• Create points of view, solutioning content, industry intellectual property, and repeatable modernisation practices, including for legacy retail banking systems.
• Partner with technical leaders to support delivery teams and ensure successful client engagements.
• Meet billing targets through full or fractional staffing on client engagements while helping educate clients and colleagues about service value.

Requirements

• Experience executing modernisation and migration in large-scale organisations.
• Strong technical background, ideally across more than one programming paradigm.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, Istio, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Understanding of evolutionary architecture, MACH principles, and LIFESPAR principles, with the ability to apply them in practice.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures using microservices and serverless, including synchronous and asynchronous communication, data streaming, API technologies, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to understand consistency models including linearizability and serializability.
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery approaches across multi-availability-zone, multi-region, and multi-cloud environments.
• Experience building security and system performance management functions into solutions from the start.
• Strong client-facing communication skills, including positioning and defending technical decisions to client architects; experience engaging C-level business and technology stakeholders through consultative selling.
• Attention to detail, a practical approach to story-writing and delivery, and the ability to connect client strategy to team outcomes.
• Proficiency with Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, SRE practices, and the DevOps philosophy.
• Strong technology and consulting acumen with the ability to translate technology into business value.
