Senior Security Architect (Biotech)

Location: Hybrid in Armenia, with an office in Yerevan

What you will do

• Design and evolve enterprise security architecture across on-premise, cloud, laboratory, scientific, and research environments.
• Define security architecture standards, reference designs, and technical guardrails for systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Embed security-by-design and privacy-by-design principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Evaluate security technologies and controls and guide their integration into enterprise and cloud environments.
• Lead threat modeling and architecture-level risk assessments for new systems and infrastructure changes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineers and analysts while collaborating with Product, Software Development, IT, QA, and regulatory teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant professional experience in security architecture, cloud security, information security, or a related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of secure network and system design, identity and access management, data protection, and risk-based security architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and their native security services.
• Experience designing controls for regulated enterprise environments and familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA/HITECH, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and GDPR.
• Fluency in English and Russian is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in biotechnology, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, or TOGAF.
