Data Scientist, International (Advanced Analytics)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Base salary: CAD 114,000–142,500, CAD 142,000–177,500, or CAD 176,000–220,000 annually, depending on the geographical market, skills, experience, and work location.

What you will do

• Partner with product, business, finance, operations, strategy, engineering, and executive stakeholders to guide decisions.
• Use quantitative analysis to identify business drivers, marketplace dynamics, user behavior patterns, and long-term trends.
• Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, Python, R, and statistical tools.
• Apply hypothesis testing, A/B testing, causal inference, and other experimentation techniques to validate findings.
• Identify and measure levers that improve revenue, growth, operations, and marketplace efficiency.
• Travel to meet business partners and teams in different markets.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or a related role.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems using structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported approaches.
• Experience initiating and leading strategic projects with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with experimentation techniques, including A/B testing and causal inference.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or R, and expertise with SQL and ETL processes.
• Experience with analytics and visualization tools and with building and training statistical or machine learning models.
