Staff / Senior Staff Security Engineer (IT)

Location: Hybrid, with recommended office attendance two days per week in Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania

Salary: €8,442–€14,000 gross per month

What you will do

• Own the IT security roadmap, threat-model the workplace estate, prioritise real attack paths, and drive risks to closure.
• Secure hirify.global’s Mac-first device fleet and Windows and Linux endpoints through hardened baselines, least privilege, endpoint detection and response, and device trust.
• Build secure workforce identity and access controls, including phishing-resistant authentication, lifecycle automation, privileged access, and time-bound contractor access.
• Secure the SaaS and business-application estate, including configurations, OAuth and API integrations, data flows, shadow IT, and shadow AI.
• Protect office networks, remote access, warehouses, and electronics verification centres, including the boundary with hirify.global Go’s security team.
• Build security automation, compliance-as-code, risk governance, and the IT security engineering practice from the ground up.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience securing corporate IT estates at scale across endpoints, device management, workforce identity, access, SaaS, and business applications.
• Engineering mindset with scripting or automation experience in Python, Go, or similar, plus identity and infrastructure as code.
• Experience building a security practice from scratch and influencing technical and senior business stakeholders without direct authority.
• Experience securing networks and devices in physical sites such as warehouses, laboratories, verification, or repair centres, or strong willingness to develop this capability.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Advantageous experience with Okta, Jamf, Google Workspace, Atlassian, Workato, hardware security, offensive security, detection engineering, ISO 27001, or NIS2.
