Data QA Engineer (Python)

Location: Remote, based in São Paulo, Brazil

What you will do

• Translate customer scraping and data requirements into clear test approaches and own QA from project start.
• Combine exploratory, manual, visual, and automated testing for extracted data.
• Run test cycles, report results, document reproducible defects, and communicate testing risks.
• Use descriptive statistics, summaries, and charts to assess completeness, accuracy, consistency, and drift.
• Build test reports and quality scores for internal teams and customers.
• Improve QA processes and tooling, including browser, spreadsheet, and UI-based test automation tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering or a similar software or data testing role.
• Python experience, preferably with Pandas and Jupyter for data analysis and validation.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills and experience with at least one relational database.
• Understanding of HTML, XPath, JSON, HTTP, CSS, and HTTP/REST API testing.
• Experience with test case design, test data management, and Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.
• Clear written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Scrapy or other Python-based scraping frameworks.
• Experience with test automation frameworks.
• Interest in data science, AI, and LLM tools for data validation.
