Tech Lead (Vue/Nuxt.js): Leading a Platform Squad while building and supporting secure, scalable web applications and APIs with an accent on Vue, Nuxt, Node.js, TypeScript, and serverless AWS services. Focus on guiding technical delivery, designing robust integrations, troubleshooting production systems, and developing squad capability through code reviews, documentation, and mentoring.
Location: Auckland, New Zealand; hybrid work with a central Auckland CBD office

What you will do
- Lead the Platform Squad and guide delivery through agile methodologies and modern development practices.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and lead implementation of technical initiatives aligned with squad and business objectives.
- Build and support web and mobile applications, secure APIs, and scalable integration solutions.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot production applications and APIs, manage incidents, and support reliable releases.
- Lead code reviews, testing, technical planning, acceptance testing, and system documentation.
- Develop squad capability through mentoring, feedback, performance management, recruitment, and succession planning.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent learning.
- 7+ years of software development experience across front-end and back-end technologies.
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong experience with Vue 2 or 3, Nuxt 3, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, and Connect; Serverless, SAM, or SST; GitHub; and Terraform.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining web and mobile applications, with strong skills in secure coding, API development, testing, problem-solving, documentation, Jira, and agile delivery.
